Welcome on the site of our small camp-site "La Jonquille"!

We, Herman and Jacqueline Diks, wish to give you a first impression of our small natural camp-site ‘la Jonquille’. A Jonquille is a small wild daffodil and played a principal role in the origin of our camp-site.
In 1992 we left Holland to settle down in Hurecourt, a small village on the outskirts of the Vosges. A place known for its rare fields of abundant wild daffodils in the early springtime.In search of this sign of spring, we climbed a hill outside the village and were delighted to find these Jonquilles up here, indeed. And , while turning toward the valley, we were surprised by the marvellous view of thick forests and peaceful meadows.

Incredible but true: we were able to purchase this daffodil-hill along with its two natural terraces! It was then that our idea to create a small, peaceful camp-site to share with you, was born.

It took us years to complete the site because we did have to do it in combination with our regular work , that is running a building – and renovation company . By now we are proud to show you the results of our efforts. We believe we accomplished our dream to transform the hill into a camp-site, without disturbing the natural beauty of the area. In fact, birds of prey can be seen flying over the valley and in the evening troupes of deer leave the wood to graze on the grass-lands around the camp-site.

By way of description of the campground, the first terrace of the grounds is reserved for big motor homes and cars with caravans. This area is equipped to handle 10 broad pitches up to 100 m2 in size and two overnight places for motor homes.

All pitches have electricity ( 10A-16A) and you also will find 4 water points on this level.

In addition, there is a guest reception and a lavatory building with facilities to disabled persons.

The second and raised terrace is only accessible to small motor homes or tents ( up to 15) No fixed structures over here: you can choose your own spot amidst the natural surroundings. Of course there is electricity and water, as well as a small lavatory building for your comfort.
